The holidays are upon us and this is one of my very favorite brand-new Anthology by Lisa Bearnson products!
Nifty Gifties are the perfect place to house gift cards, cash, checks, redeemable coupons (“I’ll make your bed for a week!”) and notes. They are easy to assemble, the pieces come in this beautiful box and there is enough to make 25 cards plus lots of extras.
Hey–if you live in Utah, PLEASE get involved in the amazing event called “My Story Matters,” happening on November 6, 2015. It centers around creating custom story books for children staying in Road Home homeless shelter. This service will encourage, uplift, and inspire dozens of families and benefit over 100 children.
You can watch this touching video to understand more of the “My Story Matters mission.” It will tear at your heartstrings and make you realize what matters most.
Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds will work together to create these books. Each bedtime storybook features the child’s own photos and offers a positive, personalized message for the child. These storybooks help improve self esteem, build confidence, inspire imagination, and give a child in transition the power to dream of a hopeful future.
This Friday, you can help by interviewing the children and taking their photographs and in the weeks to come interns will be creating and publishing the story books.
Funding for this project has been made possible by generous donors in the community and through a partnership with the Youngevity Be The Change foundation.
My Story Matters will be serving at the Road Home on November 6, 2015 from 3:00-8:00pm.
Volunteers are encouraged to visit the website for more information www.mystorymatters.org. Those wishing to donate time, supplies, or funding for this project can contact email@example.com. Along with the storybooks they are collecting Diapers size 4,5,6; mens tube socks, and quilts for the children.

P.S. Happy Birthday to my sweet father! He would have been 88 today. I miss this guy more than words can write. God be with you ’til we meet again, Daddy!
