This Christmas Season has been glorious! With all the hustle and bustle of traveling, wedding, company, and season festivities, I hardly had any time for shopping and you know what, I decided it was OKAY! My children and grandchild had a lovely Christmas full of service and laughter (and a few gifts)! I can’t wait to share with you our favorite tradition each year. Stay tuned–pictures are coming!
Another favorite tradition is going to the Utah State Developmental Center on Christmas morning where we followed Santa around delivering gifts and singing songs to those who are physical and mentally challenged.
This year the air was frigid and it was blizzarding all night and I have to admit, I wasn’t super excited about getting out in the weather. However, my sweet husband got up extra early to clear our driveway so we could get to the center. And–it turned out oh so lovely. What a perfect way to start a beautiful Christmas Day.
Afterwards, Santa held Oakley and I’m not so sure she liked it even a little bit!
This little gal is the best present of all! Being a Nana and Papa is the best!
The rest of the week has been spent playing in the snow (we are going sledding today), watching movies, playing games, and having read-a-thons in front of the fire while sipping hot chocolate! (My friend gave me a hot chocolate station for Christmas–adorable idea!)
Yes, I know it’s crazy but here in Utah lots of kids STILL wear shorts and t-shirts in the snow.
Finally, just had a share a iPhone pic of my kids at the wedding. So in love with all of them! They make my life complete. And, a big shout out to Kade who turned 25 on Monday!
