Last February I had a terrible case of the flu for three weeks solid. During that time I watched way too much HGTV and soon took a sledge hammer to my dark kitchen (kidding) and completely remodeled. I went light, bright, and neutral. However, I am a LOVER of color and changing up decor for the changing seasons so I made sure the focal point of my kitchen had plenty of spaces to decorate.
Here is my “love” kitchen–yep, Valentine’s Day on steroids! And, I’m so excited to share with you all the Youngevity Memory Keeping brands that were used in most of the projects!
Here is a quick overview of the brands and products:
And here is a sideview of the space as well:
Just a few specific things to note:
I’m pretty much in love with Heritage Makers canvases. You can choose pre-made templates or create your own. They are well made and so stunning.
The XOXO on the mantel was created by my pal and YGY distributor, Michael Lazorchak, using Heidi Swapp Marquee Letters (purchased at your local craft store) and embellished with AnthologyDIY XOXO paper collection. He also made the wreath by glueing (or you can staple) strips of the same collection around a styrofoam wreath and then embellishing with extra pieces in the kit. The “Be Mine” was created with a Cameo Silhouette. Just a little side note. The AnthologyDIY 1/4″ super sticky tape is a very strong adhesive and works amazingly well for the wreath because of its permanent hold. And–it’s on sale for $2.45!
The “LOVE” Coaster Set banner was made in Heritage Makers. I’m partial to this since I love a good game of Scrabble. The heart banner was simply created with twine, painted material, and glitter glue.
The marquee arrow from the AnthologyDIY Gallery Wall kit is covered in OMFL Love Collection by Katie Pertiet. Stay tuned for a video coming soon showing how you can quickly change the paper on the front of the arrow.
AnthologyDIY Valentine Canvas Exchange blocks are also scattered on many of the shelves:
I love the Chalk/Magnet board in the AnthologyDIY Gallery Wall kit. The surface is dreamy–so easy to write on and it’s magnetic! I am amazed how easy OMFL’s Love Collection by Katie Pertiet made it so simple to decorate. I created heart magnets out of one of the strips and a banner out of another one. Easy peasy and adorable! Also my family’s Valentine’s card was easily customized using Heritage Makers. (Oh–and just a little teaser. Those cute border clips are in next month’s AnthologyDIY kit.)
I mentioned that the XOXO marquee letters are bordered and embellished with the AnthologyDIY XOXO paper collection. Here is a closeup of the heart to explain more. (The front surface is covered with glitter glue.)
I also often scatter cards on my shelves–they are the perfect size for a little accent. The AnthologyDIY Valentine’s Make & Shake cards are perfect for this. And–the AnthologyDIY XOXO paper and Valentine Make & Shake card kit is bundled together in a Be Mine kit at one terrific price.
Both of the following pieces come in the AnthologyDIY Gallery Wall kit and can easily be changed with the Gallery Wall Art Pack that also come in the kit.
The collection looks great as scattered pieces throughout your house, or collaged on the wall or a flat surface:
Finally, I always find some type of fun drink to display on my counter top. Place on top of a tray with a couple of glasses and you’ve got another fun accent piece.
Have fun exploring with different looks–Youngevity certainly makes it easy with so many styles and products to choose from.
I’m already dreaming up my spring look. I will be sharing it soon, promise!
