Have you ever looked around your house and just thought, “This truly is my home?
That’s my goal when decorating my house. I want it to be warm and inviting as a whole, while each individual piece is personal and special.
I was so excited about last week’s “Small & Simple Things” theme that I decided I wanted to make it a weekly series! Every Wednesday, I want to pull a few small and simple things from around my house that make me happy.
This week, I noticed some things around my house that are a little unexpected, but totally work for me. Here are my happy things this week:
This is an outdoor pillow that was on clearance at Target. I love peacocks (and saving some cash!) so I bought it to put with my patio furniture. A few days later I decided I like it so much that I moved it inside to my main room! Who would have thought that an outdoor pillow would look so good?
I purchased this cool alphabet picture without really knowing what I was going to do with it. I thought my friend was crazy when she suggested I use it for a tray… but then I tried it out. I’m so glad she thought of that—I love the look!
A dear elderly friend, Virginia Laudenbacher, recently sent me this book. My jaw dropped when I saw the other side. She figured out how to do it herself! I love this!
