A few weeks ago, I went on my annual “girls only” camping trip with some of my BFFs, Kerri Bradford and Kristy Banks. Interestingly enough, we all have the very same camera (originally Kerri’s recommendation) so we were all taking different shots during the course of the week and sharing with each other. I’ve got to admit that mine are usually the staged or group shots… I just love seeing how we all change over time but our friendships stay the same. This go around, however, I really loved some of the small and simple things that Kerri captured.
I brought a bunch of watercolors and canvases to paint. We all loved sitting down and creating together while we chatted and laughed. I love the composition of this photo… it looks like a professional photo to be framed, but I really love that it brings back such personal memories!
When we weren’t crafting, we were eating snacks and playing games. I brought the game that has been my favorite since I was 10-years-old—Masterpiece! We played round after round… it was a blast.
Just because we were camping doesn’t mean we didn’t have a little time for primping! My cute granddaughter was so patient as Kristy did her hair. Of course I had to bribe her with her binky!
Have you gone on any camping trips this summer? What types of images do you prefer to capture?
