Do you ever get so busy that you find yourself running on autopilot? I have been traveling like crazy for the past few weeks. I feel like it’s so easy to get lost in a busy schedule. Sometimes, life gets so crazy that I forget to just stop and smell the roses!
This week, I got a literal reminder to stop and smell the roses when Stefyn gathered some roses from her in-laws home and surprised me with them in a pitcher on the table. These homegrown beauties make me so happy!
I’ve often thought of dandelions as sort of the opposite of roses… I’ve never loved them. I’ve always considered them an ugly and persistent week. Recently, however, I snapped this picture and realized how amazing all the intricacies of a dandelion’s “reproduction” stage truly are! Simply beautiful.
As I’ve been making myself take the time to “stop and smell the roses,” I’ve been going for more walks around the neighborhood. At least once a week, I pass by this adorable trailer. I’m so in love with the look and vibe. I hope it has a “For Sale” sign on it one day… I know who will instantly buy it!
This week, I challenge you to take a little extra time out to just take in all the beauty that is around you. No matter how busy or dim things seem, there are always small pieces of happiness just waiting to be discovered. See what small and simple things make you happy this week!
