I love this time of year when flowers are in full bloom and veggies are starting to ripen. My neck of the woods is popping with color and vegetation. I keep noticing lush moments around my neighborhood and I just can’t help but be grateful for this gorgeous time of year.
Here are a few of the happy, colorful small and simple things that celebrate the lushness of the end of summer!
I pass by this adorable mailbox multiple times a day. I love how my neighbors incorporated my favorite color, purple, and a flower box around the mailbox. It’s gotta put a smile on the mailman’s face every day, too!
I absolutely adore this little windmill flower box. The perfectly manicured garden boxes in the background are pretty stinkin’ great, too.
And, my favorite veggie, tomatoes, are starting to turn red. I love BLTs! Bring it on! One question—do you consider tomatoes a fruit or a veggie? I just looked it up on the internet and according to sciencebob.com it’s definitely a fruit. Hmmm—who would have thunk?
Enjoy these last few weeks of summer!
